First, how is admin notified about new requests? Does your app send an email or is rss feed only option here?
Second, we need to receive email notifications. And they should come from requester\’s email address not from wordpress\’ default email address. We want to forward the request email to our Highrise CRM account and it needs to have correct sender\’s info. Is this something your app can manage?

Wordpress has a number of plugins which can be used to notify you of new posts. We use a slightly modified version of this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/draft-notifier/
The notifications will come from the requestors email.
